Roman helmets found at Knights Templar lair

A bizarre turn in the story of the gang in Mexico which unfortunately called itself the Knights Templar – or Caballeros Templarios.  Mexican police have just raided one of their safehouses and discovered one hundred and twenty Roman helmets – though I have to say the picture suggests Greek hoplite headgear to me.

The drugs traffickers have – as I’ve posted before – a murderous record in the state of Michoacan and it appears they like dressing up for initiation ceremonies.  Cloaks were also found on the premises.

  1. if you really like the Knights Templar history I hope you will love my new upcoming fictional novel, entitled; “The 9th Templar.” It is my first fictional book. I had so much fun writing the book. I hope you will all enjoy it. I am planning on setting aside $1.00 from every book sale to support our modern Knights Templar mission in the holy land. It should be out this next spring. I am still discussing the book with publishers. If I get too frustrated then I will just self-publish it. Here is the blog page for the book. There is a good bit of interesting stuff on the blog. Especially the prologue and the sample chapter. Please check it out.
