Trip to Israel – today I was in Jaffa (or Tel Aviv-Yafo if you prefer)


Jaffa was an ancient city that stretches back in to Greek and Roman times if not before. It’s now the southernmost tip of modern Tel Aviv and is a rather beaten up if quaint series of Ottoman era buildings.  The restaurants are great and tomorrow I will be going to take a closer look at the more ancient ruins.  But here is a flavour of Ottomon Jaffa…what’s left of it!
