Tony McMahon is a successful published author whose books have been reviewed on TV and in the national and international media.

His biography of the 1980s British boxer Errol Christie was shortlisted for best sports biography of the year (2011) and longlisted for the prestigious William Hill prize. The Guardian, The Independent and Mojo published extensive feature articles on his biography of Neville Staple, lead singer legendary 2Tone band The Specials.

He co-wrote an analysis of political Islamism with the UK government’s commissioner on violent extremism Sara Khan that was launched at Waterstones in Piccadilly and reviewed in The Sunday Times, BBC, Sky News, CNN and the Guardian.

Publishers have included Aurum Press/Quarto and the huge German based publisher Bertelsmann.  His novel on the Knights Templar – Quest for the True Cross – has been published in two languages (English and Czech) and has attracted 20,000 followers on Facebook alone.
